Problem Note 41244: SAS® Clinical Standards Toolkit - Errors might occur on DBCS systems due to the presence of extended ASCII values in data sets

Extended ASCII characters, such as ` (angled quotes), are present in several metadata files, including message data sets, supporting various SAS-supplied standards in SAS® Clinical Standards Toolkit. Double-byte character sets (DBCS) do not transcode extended ASCII. This can result in unexpected SAS errors when running SAS Clinical Standards Toolkit processes on DBCS systems. This issue has also been reported with SAS® Clinical Data Integration (CDI).
To correct the problem, extended ASCII characters should be removed from SAS Clinical Standards Toolkit metadata files.
